BullGnG Gymnastics Academy

Competition Floor Routines

Age 4–7

  • Present → Forward roll to tuck → Dish → Arch → Push up to front support
  • Squat in → Stand up → Arabesque →  → Stretch jump → Tuck jump
  • Star jump → Cartwheel ( Bonus 0.5  or forward roll to standing 
  • Finish and present

8+ Beginner

  • Forward roll to standing → Handstand (back to standing) → Forward roll to tuck → Dish → Arch
  • Press up → Squat in → Jump 1/2 turn → Arabesque (hold 5 seconds)
  • Stretch jump, Tuck jump,  → Two consecutive cartwheels
  • Present and finish

8+ Intermediate

  • Handstand forward roll → Straight jump → Tuck jump → Roll back to shoulder stand
  • Dish  → Arch → Front support → Side support → Back support → Front support
  • Press up → side support -> back support -> bridge -> kick over Arabesque → 
  • Round off tuck jump to finish OR Run, dive, roll

8+ Advanced

  • Present →  Handstand forward roll to stand stand  → Straight jump → straddle jump → roll back to shoulder stand → Push up to bridge lift one leg / kick over → Dish → Arch → front support → press up → show splits → → stand up → Balance → Round off straddle jump back handspring 0.5 bonus 
    • + 0.2 – Front flip
    • + 0.5 – Round off back handspring

Tips for Better Scoring

  • Always present at the beginning and end of your routine with confidence.
  • Keep your arms straight and legs tight throughout each move.
  • Point your toes and keep your body stretched.
  • Hold balances (like arabesque) for at least 3–5 seconds to show control.
  • Land with control – feet together and arms up.
  • Show energy and smile – performance counts too!
  • Practise linking skills smoothly so the routine flows without pauses.

Vault Routines

Age 4–7

  • Squat on
  • 60 cm block – walk across
  • Stretch jump / Tuck jump / Star jump  off with landing position

8+ Beginner

  • Vault 1: Squat on - Stretch/tuck / star off 
  • Vault 2: Straddle on stretch jump off 

8+ Intermediate

  • Vault 1: Squat through
  • Vault 2: Straddle through
  • Option: Handstand flat back

8+ Advanced

  • Handspring over a block 
  • Handstand flat back on big vault 

Vault – Tips for Better Scoring

  • Use a strong, fast run-up to generate power.
  • Keep your body tight and arms straight on the vault.
  • Push off firmly with both hands.
  • Show a clear, stretched jump or landing position.
  • Stick the landing – feet together, arms up, no steps.
  • Present with confidence before and after each vault.
